This log is going to make it easier for me to put my dad's pictures in some sort of order. Although many of his photos are numbered, there is no trace of a key. He had removed the pictures from an earlier album, and was clearly in the process of reorganizing them when he died suddenly of a heart attack; the only trace remained in the stories he had related to us when we were young. I'm in now the process of removing the prints myself, as he had written notes on the back of some of them, before he sent them home to his family. He had helpfully marked himself with an x when he appeared in the photographs so at least we know where he was. It was of course gran who had so carefully glued everything into the original album for safe keeping.
