Dear All,
That's my dad, front row second from 'picture right'.
Can you identify any of your family in any of the pictures? It would be great if you could post some contemporary pictures of your family members?

My grandfather, Edgar Horley Cowan is pictured second from the left of the picture sitting in the front row. He served on the HMS Kent from March 10, 1914 until January 18, 1917.

Following a brief period of Cadet training on the White Star Training Ship "Mersey", he was mobilised and joined the HMS Kent as a midshipman at the oubreak of War.

I am pretty sure my grandfather (Engineer Cdr George Edward Andrew) is sitting just to the left of the Captain. I can see a bit of family resemblance! If you can confirm that John I would be most grateful.

I have some photos, memorabilia and an original copy of 'Gallant Gentlemen' which contains a chapter about the Kent's action in the Battle of the Falklands. I will scan and send these to you John.
Cheers
Roger Andrew

I look forward to, receiving your "memorabilia and an original copy of 'Gallant Gentlemen'"
